My Favourite Painting
My Favourite Painting
Hello! My name is Leo. I want to tell you about my hobby. I love to paint. Last weekend, I painted a picture and I want to describe it to you.
My painting shows a beautiful garden in summer. The sky at the top is blue. I used light blue for the sky and dark blue for the small lake. The sun is yellow and very bright. It makes everything look warm and happy.
In the middle of the picture, there is a big tree. The tree is green, of course! I mixed green and yellow to make the leaves look fresh and alive. Under the tree, there are many flowers. I painted some flowers red, some pink, and some purple. I think they match very well together. Red roses are my grandmother's favourite. Pink tulips are my mother's favourite. And purple flowers? They are for me.
On the left side of the garden, there is a small house. The house is white with a brown roof and a brown door. The windows are grey. Near the house, there is a path. The path is light brown because it is made of stones.
On the right side, there is a bench. A cat is sleeping on the bench. The cat is black with white paws. I chose black and white for the cat because it looks like my own cat, Luna.
There is also a fence around the garden. I painted it orange — just for fun! My friend said, "Orange is a strange choice for a fence!" But I like it. It looks bright and unusual.
Oh, and I almost forgot! There is a butterfly in the picture. It is magenta with pink spots. I painted it at the very end when the painting was almost finished.
I really enjoy working with colours. When I paint, I feel calm and happy. My art teacher says that colours can change your mood. Warm colours like red, orange, and yellow give energy. Cold colours like blue, green, and purple help you relax.
Now this painting hangs on the wall in my room. Every time I look at it, I smile. I think colours make our world more beautiful. What is your favourite colour?
