My Birthday Party
My Birthday Party
Hello! My name is Emma. I want to tell you about my birthday party. It was last Saturday and I had a wonderful birthday party. It was amazing!
Let me tell you everything from the beginning. A week before the party, I invited my friends. I sent them pretty invitations. They were colourful with balloons and confetti on them.
On the morning of the party, we started to decorate the house. I helped my mum hang up streamers — they were bright and colourful. My dad put up a big banner that said "Happy Birthday, Emma!" It looked great. My mum put decorations everywhere — on the walls, on the doors, and even on the chairs. She also put a bowl of colourful confetti on the table. We blew up lots of balloons. I love balloons — they make any party feel special and fun.
Then we prepared the table. My mum baked a big birthday cake. It was chocolate with pink icing on top. It looked beautiful and delicious! We put candles on the cake. There were twelve candles because I am twelve years old. Before we sang, my dad helped me light the candles. They looked so pretty — twelve little lights on the cake.
At three o'clock, my friends arrived. I was happy to see every guest. My cousin Jake came too. He dressed up as a clown and made everyone laugh! He had a red nose and a funny hat. All the guests wore party hats — we had hats in different colours: blue, green, yellow and pink. Everyone looked so happy and excited. My best friend Lily gave me a big present and a card. She didn't just send a birthday card — she made it herself! It was a beautiful card with a picture of a cat on it. I was very surprised! I didn't expect such a nice card.
We played party games first. My favourite game was musical chairs. It was so noisy and fun! Then we danced to music. My dad played songs on his phone, and we all danced in the living room. I love dancing — it makes me feel so happy.
After that, we sang "Happy Birthday". Everyone sang loudly! Then I made a wish and blew out the candles. I wished for a new bicycle. But I can't tell you more — a wish is a secret!
My mum cut the birthday cake and gave a piece to everyone. The cake was delicious. My friends said the icing was very sweet and tasty. We also had other food — sandwiches, fruit and juice.
After the cake, I opened presents. My friends gave me wonderful gifts: a book, a soft toy rabbit, colourful pens and a beautiful scarf. My parents gave me a new camera. I was so excited! I can take photos of everything now.
Then we took lots of photos. My dad took a big group photo of all my friends wearing party hats. I will send the photos to everyone next week.
The party finished at six o'clock. My friends went home, and I said "thank you" for coming. I was tired but very, very happy. It was the best birthday party ever!
Now the photos hang on the wall in my room. Every time I look at them, I remember my special day. I think birthdays are wonderful because you can spend time with your favourite people.
